How do I log a workout?

Tap the "+" button on the home screen to start a new workout. Search for an exercise, add it to your workout, then log your sets by entering weight and reps. The app will automatically save your progress.

Can I use the app offline?

Yes! MyFitnessLog works 100% offline. All your data is stored locally on your device. No internet connection required.

How do I backup my data?

Go to Settings → Export Data. You can export your entire workout history as a JSON or CSV file. Save this file to your cloud storage (iCloud, Google Drive, etc.) for safekeeping.

How do I restore my data on a new phone?

After exporting your data from your old phone, install MyFitnessLog on your new device and go to Settings → Import Data. Select your backup file to restore all your workouts.

How are personal records (PRs) calculated?

We use the Epley formula to estimate your 1RM: 1RM = weight × (1 + reps/30). PRs are automatically detected and highlighted when you beat your previous best.

Can I create custom exercises?

Yes! When searching for an exercise, if you don't find what you're looking for, tap "Create Custom Exercise" to add your own with a custom name and muscle group.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings → Clear All Data. This will permanently delete all your workouts, exercises, and settings. This action cannot be undone.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. All your workout data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or sell any personal information. Read our Privacy Policy for more details.
